Healthy body, healthy spirit!

This is not a simple blog. The recipes you will find here all have a reason to be here! What makes my food excellent is being tasty and healthy at the same time. It must consist of nutritious and diversified ingredients with limited calories and fats that are unneccessary for you, in order to keep the balance of your body. I believe in traditional reasoning, being guided by basics, such as food pyramid, common reason and feelings of well-being!
Food can be an indulgence by being tasty and making you feel good. Keeping your inner harmony will make you happy and strong (hence the wonderful life!).
Remember, you are what you eat so eat well and delicious :-)

Light Dessert With Yogurt, Almonds And Fruits

Here is something to satisfy your sweet tooth, no matter if it is breakfast lunch or dessert! On those hot summer days I have cravings for sweet very often, sometimes I even want some frozen yogurt for a dinner! Well why not? Just remember to add something substantial things, like nuts (e.g almond meal) or müsli to make sure you want be hungry anytime soon ;-) here is a healthy desert idea for any occasion!

Ingredients (2 portions)
1 small light peach yogurt
1 small natural low fat yohurt
1 tbsp raw honey
2 nectarines or peaches
1 tbsp brown sugar of your choice
almond meal
granola (preferably home-made without sugar)

Peel nectarines or peaches and cut in small cubes. Place in small pot and stew with a bit of water and brown sugar for around 10-15 minutes until it has a consistence of a sauce. Leave it to cool down. In the meantime mix both yogurts and 1 tbsp of honey and put into the fridge until you are ready to assembly.
Everything done? Assembly! Find a pretty bowl or glass (transparent would be good so that you can see the layers). Put sprinkle some almond meal, yogurt mixture, then sprinkle some almond again, follow with nectarine/peach sauce and repeat until you run out of space. Top with fruits or granola. If you are impatient eat right away, but if you keep it in the fridge for few hours it will become more solid. Up to you and your hunger! ;)
This recipe is more of a inspiration just to show you how easy it is to make a healthy dish or dessert with just yogurts, fruits and some natural sweeteners like honey. Feel free to use your favourities!!
